Her Story
AboutSandy Asare
Gospel Singer. Worship Minister. Wife. Mother. A woman wholly surrendered to the call of God.
“It is an honour to always lead God’s children in the art of spiritual intimacy through Gospel music.”
— Sandy AsareThe Story God Wrote
“She did not choose the music — the music chose her, and behind it, the unmistakeable hand of God.”
Long before the world knew the name Sandy Asare, there was a girl named Sandra Agyemang Duah — raised in the faith, nurtured in the pews of the Church of Pentecost, and captivated from childhood by the power of a single, devoted voice lifted in worship.
From her earliest years, Sandy could be found at church gatherings, community prayer meetings, and Christian events — not as a spectator, but as a willing vessel. She did not wait for a platform. She simply showed up and sang, trusting that God would do the rest.
What sets Sandy apart is the beautiful tension she carries: she is both a professional nurse and an anointed gospel minister — one who heals bodies through medicine by day, and broken hearts through melody by night. Both callings, she believes, flow from the same source.

“Both callings flow from the same divine source — to serve, to heal, to love.”
Born Into Worship
Sandy grew up immersed in the living gospel tradition of Ghana. In a household and a church community where faith was not a Sunday ritual but a daily reality, she absorbed the rhythms of worship before she could articulate theology. The Church of Pentecost shaped her spiritual DNA — its fire, its prayer culture, its unashamed devotion to the Holy Spirit left an indelible imprint on everything she would eventually create.
As a young girl, her voice was her offering. Not polished, not promoted — simply given, freely and fully, at every gathering that would have her.
When Heaven Commissioned Her
The transition from gifted singer to ordained minister of the gospel was not an overnight event — it was a slow, holy unfolding. Sandy began to sense that her music carried something beyond melody: a burden for souls, a longing to see people encounter God not merely emotionally, but transformationally.
She came under the mentorship of Elder Mireku, one of Ghana’s most revered gospel icons, whose wisdom and coaching sharpened both her craft and her character. Under his guidance, she learned that true gospel ministry is not about performance — it is about presence.
The Sound of Fresh Oil
In 2018, Sandy released Ngofoforo — a debut album whose very name declared her anointing. Meaning “Fresh Oil” in Akan, the project was more than music; it was a prophetic statement. The album received heavy rotation on radio stations across Ghana and quickly found its way onto every major digital streaming platform, touching hearts far beyond national borders.
Since then, Sandy has continued to release soul-stirring singles and live worship sessions on YouTube — the latter becoming a hallmark of her ministry, where viewers report tangible encounters with God.
A Ministry Built Together
Behind every anointed ministry is an equally committed support structure. Sandy is married to Mr. Seth Asare — himself a music producer and sound engineer — making their home a sanctuary of creative worship and shared calling. Together they are blessed with two children.
Sandy credits her husband as an irreplaceable pillar — not just technically engineering her sound, but spiritually covering her ministry with prayer, partnership, and purpose. Their union is itself a testimony.
She Was NotSent Empty
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news.”
Luke 4:18Sandy Asare does not approach music as a career. She approaches it as a commission from heaven. Every song she writes, every note she sings, every stage she steps onto is filtered through one relentless question: Will this draw someone closer to God?
Rooted in the Pentecostal tradition, Sandy carries the fire of the Holy Spirit into every space she occupies. Her gospel identity bridges two worlds with equal grace — the deeply traditional Akan worship that honours the roots of Ghanaian Christianity, and the vibrant contemporary sound that speaks to the urban generation.
This is not fusion for the sake of relevance. It is a deliberate act of love — reaching every believer where they are, and leading them to where God wants them to be.
Anointed Worship Ministry
Sandy’s worship sessions are not performances — they are open heavens. She carries an anointing that creates atmospheric shifts in every room she ministers in, drawing people into authentic encounters with the Holy Spirit.
Nations-Focused Gospel
With her music on global streaming platforms and her YouTube worship sessions reaching the Ghanaian diaspora across Europe, North America and beyond, Sandy’s ministry has transcended geography.
Word-Rooted Songwriting
Every Sandy Asare song is born from Scripture and inspired by the Holy Spirit. She does not write from trends — she writes from the altar, ensuring every lyric carries eternal weight and spiritual accuracy.
Empowering Believers
Her music serves as spiritual nourishment — encouraging the weary, strengthening the faithful, and igniting fresh hunger in believers who have grown comfortable with ordinary Christianity.
A Journey Marked
by His Faithfulness
A Child Singing for God
From her earliest years, Sandy ministered at church gatherings across Ghana — not as a featured artist, but as a young worshipper offering her voice freely to God. The seed of ministry was planted long before the world took notice.
Under the Wings of Elder Mireku
Sandy came under the mentorship and coaching of Elder Mireku — Ghana’s beloved gospel legend. This season of discipleship refined not just her artistry but her ministry character, grounding her in the deep things of the Spirit.
Ngofoforo — Fresh Oil Poured Out
Her debut album, meaning “Fresh Oil” in Akan, was released to widespread acclaim. It received heavy rotation on Ghanaian radio and became a staple on digital streaming platforms across Africa. Souls were touched. Lives were changed. A ministry was officially born.
Pat Thomas Answers Heaven’s Call
Legendary highlife musician Pat Thomas was so moved by one of Sandy’s songs that he personally booked studio time in Canada — at his own expense — to record his vocal contribution. He asked for nothing in return. A divine appointment that testified to the anointing on her music.
Wo Nsa Teaa — Praise in Partnership
Sandy collaborated with gospel artist Yaw Boadu Jnr on the uplifting praise anthem “Wo Nsa Teaa”, expanding her reach and demonstrating her commitment to kingdom collaboration over competition.
Live Worship Sessions — Open Heavens Online
Sandy’s YouTube channel became a sanctuary for thousands. Her live worship sessions — raw, intimate, and deeply anointed — attracted viewers who reported encounters with God in the middle of their everyday lives. A digital altar that keeps burning.
The Story Is Still Being Written
With 11,000+ Instagram followers, a growing global footprint, and an undiminished hunger for God’s presence, Sandy Asare continues to step forward. New songs. New nations. New seasons. The best, by the grace of God, is yet to come.
What She Stands On

“I want my music to outlive me — to keep pointing people to Jesus long after I am gone.”
— Sandy Asare
Behind every ministry is a set of convictions so deeply held they become unshakeable. For Sandy Asare, these are not values she adopted from a branding exercise — they are the bedrock of a life built brick by brick in the presence of God.
They explain why she ministers the way she does. Why she writes what she writes. Why she refuses to compromise the sacred for the popular. And why, after every season of challenge, she returns to the stage with greater authority and deeper anointing.
Worship
Worship is not a warm-up. It is the main event. Sandy believes that everything in ministry flows from an authentic, daily practice of sitting in God’s presence — and it shows in every note she sings.
Faith
Every album, every stage, every season of waiting has been an exercise in faith. Sandy does not move by what she sees — she moves by what God has spoken. Her music is the soundtrack of a faith-walk that refuses to quit.
Humility
Despite her growing platform, Sandy carries herself with a quietness that testifies of inner security. She credits her gift entirely to God, serves under authority, and remains teachable — a rare combination of anointing and character.
Service
As a nurse and a minister, Sandy lives the gospel she sings. Service is not a strategy — it is a calling. She ministers to sick bodies by day and wounded souls through song, believing that both acts are equally holy.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
This verse governs everything Sandy does — her music, her nursing, her marriage, her ministry. Everything she does is done as an act of worship to the God who called her.
